Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

What is EAP?

Many Australian organisations offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to promote employee wellbeing. EAP is a prevention, early intervention and treatment program designed to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of all employees and their families. EAP online programs are funded by organisations as part of their commitment to creating a mentally healthy workforce by enabling their employees and their families to access psychology, health and wellness services.
Organisations that offer their employees online EAP services understand the impact depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and other stressors can have on individuals, their families, their colleagues and their workplaces. They recognise the social and economic value of prevention and early intervention approaches.

High Quality Evidence-based Treatment

Stirling Connections is committed to providing high quality evidence-based treatments grounded in thorough assessments and warm, authentic therapeutic relationships. Our online psychologists and health and wellbeing practitioners understand the fine balance between meeting clients where they are at and challenging them to make real change. Our online EAP psychologists are all highly qualified and skilled practitioners who only provide treatment approaches that are based on research evidence.

All of our online psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and our online dietitians are all accredited practising dietitians accredited by the Dietitians Association of Australia. Our practitioners hold both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in their respective areas of speciality (e.g., Masters, PhD, Doctorate). Our online EAP psychologists and dietitians are carefully selected and participate in ongoing training, professional development, and supervision. The Stirling team are committed to their ongoing learning and staying up to date with the latest research and treatment approaches. Our online EAP practitioners believe in an integrative, evidence-based approach to treatment.

Specialised Support Tailored to Your Needs

Whilst our online psychologists  are qualified to assess and treat a broad range of presentations, our team choose to focus on specific areas. This ensures they can stay up to date with the latest research and treatment approaches and develop their expertise. We believe that our practitioners are most effective and happy when they are delivering treatments in an area they feel confident in, which in turn increases the quality of care your employees receive.

Support and Retain Employees in the Transition to Parenthood

Organisations are increasingly considering the ways they offer support to employees and their families in the transition to parenthood. At Stirling Connections we are passionate about working with parents in the transition to parenthood as we recognise that whilst this is one of the most stressful transitions individuals and couples experience, it is also a time of high motivation and commitment to change. Many organisations recognise how supporting employees during this transition has a positive impact on their ability to attract and retain highly skilled professionals. In addition, a preventative approach is paramount to reducing the likelihood that mothers and fathers will experience postnatal depression or postnatal anxiety.

Tailored EAP Programs

If you are considering establishing an EAP program, our team will meet with you to get an understanding of your organisations needs and tailor a program that may include access to individual online psychological, health and wellness treatment, couples therapy, group programs, workshops, and/or retreats. We recognise the unique needs of different organisations. We believe the flexibility of online EAP services enables your team to access the support they need from a highly skilled professional at a time and place that is convenient to them. We will work with you to establish the most suitable program based on your organisation’s priority areas and budget.
